Tay Yu Xian (b 26th May 1986) is an award-winning filmmaker based in Singapore. Skilled in film production, design, visual effects, 3D animation, audio, and post production, he helps clients and agencies connect with consumers and solve business and marketing problems by telling compelling stories,

He is well-versed in all aspects of production, from pre-production and planning, to camera work and post-production. To date, he has worked with a diverse range of clients that include multinationals, local companies and Government agencies and crafted more than 200 corporate videos.

In 2013, Yu Xian represented Singapore in "Chance of a lifetime", an international non-scripted TV series organized by Hollywood's Variety Magazine & The United Nations Organization (UN) and Hyde Park-Image Nation, hosted by internationally renowned film producer Ashok Amritraj (Ghost Rider, Premonition, Street Fighter). His film "Between X and Y" was awarded the best film by Hollywood's Variety Magazine during the 2013 Cannes Film Festival.

His involvement in feature film saw him work under the stewardship of renowned Australian director Kimble Rendall, 2nd Assistant Director of the Matrix Reloaded and Matrix Revolutions films. As a cinematographer, his short film "A Hole in the Bed" was nominated for Best Cinematography at 2009 Singapore Short Film Awards and featured in the 1st Experimental Film Forum. "Ice Cream Man" was selected for the 23rd Singapore International Film Festival and Chicago International Children Film Festival.
